Lattakia City - The Construction Legend

When the Greek leader "Solokos Nikator" decided to build a city, he went to "Zeus Temple", and offered the sacrifices to "Zeus" to guide him to the right place, and while praying, a great eagle landed on the altar and took a part of the sacrifices and flew away, "Solokos" got angry, and followed this eagle, until he came to a high rock that overlooks the sea, where a great beast appeared to him, and he killed it. Solokos knew this was "Zeus" willing to build the city in this place, so he ordered his men to line the city walls and streets with the beast blood, and gave her (the city) the name of his mother Lawadessa, and offered a girl named Agatti as a sacrifice to Gods, to get their blesses, and ordered to build a golden statue for the girl in the city.
